ChinaMed Heartburn Relief Formula 78 Capsules

This is an empirically derived formula designed to treat reflux oesophagitis and non-ulcer dyspepsia. The pathodynamics of these conditions involve Stomach Heat (or Damp-Heat), Qi stagnation (with Stomach Qi counterflow and Spleen-Stomach disharmony) and generally some degree of Liver constraint. The underlying causes include dietary factors, emotional strain, and age related decline of the health Qi (notably the Spleen-Stomach). Inappropriate diet, such as excessive intake of fried, oily, rich foods, is a common precipitant.
