This formula, also known as Ren Shen Yang Ying Tang (Ginseng Formula to Nourish the Nutritive Qi), was first recorded in the Imperial Benevolence Formulary of the Tai Ping Era (tai ping sheng hui fang) 1078–85. It is indicated for 'General Debility' (xu lao) type disorders (also referred to as 'consumption'), due to deficiency of the Qi and Blood. Directions

Adult: Take 3 capsules, 2 times daily, one hour away from food, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
Warnings
  • Caution for those on anti-coagulant medications (i.e. Heparin, warfarin or aspirin).
  • Contains Glycyrrhiza, which potentiates prednisone and corticosteroids by prolonging steroid biological half-life; caution in patients with hypertension.
  • Discontinue during an episode of the common cold or influenza.
