If you are unwell and need a medical certificate for work or study, our telehealth service provides a convenient way to consult with a qualified healthcare professional without leaving home. Your Nurse Practitioner will assess your condition, determine your fitness for work or study, and issue a medical certificate electronically. Certificates are typically provided within the consultation and can be emailed directly to you for immediate use.

How It Works

1. Book Online — Schedule a medical certificate consultation through HotDoc. Same-day appointments are often available.
2. Telehealth Assessment — Your Nurse Practitioner will assess your condition via video or phone consultation.
3. Certificate Issued — If clinically appropriate, your medical certificate is issued electronically and emailed to you.

What to Expect

• Consultations typically run for 10 to 15 minutes
• Have your Medicare card and employer or institution details available
• Certificates are issued based on clinical assessment — they cannot be issued without a consultation
• Your NP may also provide advice or treatment for your presenting condition
