Health Checks
What it is
In-store health checks by our pharmacists at Pharmacy 777 Perth City, 731 Hay Street Mall in the Perth CBD. Blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose and INR checks are all done in store, while you wait, by a pharmacist. Your pharmacist discusses the result with you at the time and, if anything needs following up, can refer you to your GP or to a nurse practitioner at Nurse Practitioner Clinics Australia (NPCA).
Walk-ins are welcome — come in and ask at the counter. Booking a time with our pharmacy team on 1800 418 429 is the best way to avoid waiting.
Blood pressure monitoring
A pharmacist takes your blood pressure in store, while you wait, and discusses the reading with you on the day. If you monitor at home, bring your monitor in and we can check that you are using it correctly. We stock home-monitoring equipment, including blood pressure monitors, in store and online.
Cholesterol checks
A cholesterol check is a short in-store check by our pharmacists, done while you wait, with the result discussed with you on the day. If the result is something that should be looked into further, we can refer you to your GP or to an NPCA nurse practitioner.
Blood glucose checks
A pharmacist takes a blood glucose reading in store while you wait. Your pharmacist discusses the result with you at the time, can talk you through the monitoring equipment and supplies we stock in store and online, and can refer you to your GP or an NPCA nurse practitioner if a fuller assessment is the right next step.
INR monitoring
INR monitoring is for people already on anticoagulant therapy under a prescriber's care, whose treating doctor has asked for regular checks. A pharmacist takes the reading in store while you wait. Your pharmacist discusses the reading with you and it can be shared with the doctor managing your care.
