How it works

Oriental Botanicals® Bactevir® combines the ancient wisdom of Chinese herbal medicine with the scientifically researched immune stimulant herb Echinacea. Echinacea is one of the most powerful western herbs to help the body fight cold, sore throat and influenza. Bactevir® has natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, fever-reducing, pain-relieving, expectorant and decongestive properties. This innovative, fast-acting formula helps to quickly relieve the symptoms of colds, flu, tonsillitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis & laryngitis including sore throat, fever, inflammation, pain, mucus congestion and cough.

It has immune-stimulating and anti-infective actions.

Bactevir contains scientifically researched herbs Echinacea, for immune stimulation, and Andrographis, blended with traditional Chinese herbs including Forsythia, Lonicera and Isatis. This combination provides antiviral, antibacterial, decongestant, expectorant, anti-inflammatory, detoxifying and fever-reducing actions.

People experiencing the symptoms of cold, ‘flu, sinusitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis (sore throats), and glue ear can take Bactevir®, which can also be used for the relief of symptoms such as fever, aches, coughs and mucous congestion.

  • It is recommended to take Oriental Botanicals® Astragalus 8 after Bactevir® to reduce the risk of developing post viral fatigue and restore immune reserves.
  • May be taken whilst on antibiotics but ensure doses are two hours apart.

To Whom It May Concern,
I have been using Bactevir during the past three years, usually when I can feel the symptoms beginning of a cold or flu. For me the signs are usually a sore throat, aching body or possibly a runny nose. I immediately commence taking the recommended dose of Bactevir and within 24hours I start to feel some relief. I generally keep taking the recommended dose for another week and by the end of the week all of my symptoms are gone.

On Monday night I had the pleasure of attending one of your training sessions which was an effort considering I had been sent home from work that day sick with the flu. All medicines listed in our prescriptions category require a valid prescription from an Australian registered prescriber. No prescription items will be processed or shipped until a valid prescription has been received and verified by our pharmacist.

How do I submit my electronic prescription?

You can send us your e-script token in one of the following ways:

  • Enter your prescription token number when adding the product to the cart
  • Forward your email e-script to [email protected]
  • Forward your SMS e-script to +61 483 913 912

# Please note that each medication you're prescribed will have its own unique token. Your e-Script token is the string of 14-20 letters and numbers underneath the QR code in your Electronic Prescription email or SMS.

How do I submit my paper prescription?

What if I don't have a prescription?

A valid prescription from an Australian registered prescriber is required before we can dispense any prescription medicine. If you do not currently hold a prescription, please consult your doctor or healthcare provider to discuss your treatment options.

How long does it take for my prescription to be processed?

At Fitchs Pharmacy, we aim to ship your medicines within 1 business day of receiving a valid prescription. However, there are some things that may affect timing:

  • For paper prescriptions, your script must be received at our Perth pharmacy before we can process your order. Depending on your location, postal delivery may take 2-5 business days.
  • Electronic prescriptions can be processed immediately, provided your token number has been entered correctly. In the case of an error, our pharmacist will contact you to check details.
  • Fridge items: Medications that require refrigeration are shipped early in the week to ensure they are not held over the weekend and to maintain optimal storage. For faster delivery, we recommend selecting Team Global Express instead of Australia Post.
  • Our pharmacist may need to contact you to discuss your medicines before your prescription can be shipped. Please ensure your contact details are up to date at checkout.

How will my prescription be delivered?

Once your order is reviewed and approved by our pharmacist, it will be shipped via Australia Post or Team Global Express. Fridge items will be packed in an esky with ice to maintain the required temperature. All prescription items are sent in discreet packaging.

Can I return prescription items for a refund?

Due to the nature of prescription items, we are unable to offer refunds for change of mind after they have been shipped. However, if you change your mind before your order is shipped, a refund can be issued, minus a 5% fee to cover payment processing costs.
