Features and benefits

  • New improved formula
  • Includes rehmannia, horny goat weed and goji berry, traditionally used as kidney tonics and to regulate bodily fluid in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)
  • In TCM, rehmannia is traditionally used to strengthen Jing (a form of life force energy that’s stored in the kidneys), plus as a liver tonic and as a blood tonic that relieves sleeplessness and irregular periods
  • Goji berries are traditionally used in TCM as a kidney tonic that relieves fatigue and feelings of weariness, and are regarded as having balancing effects on Yin and Yang
  • Horny goat weed is traditionally used in TCM as a kidney tonic that promotes a healthy libido, strengthens the bones, and eases mild joint pain
  • Also contains poria, alisma, Cornelian cherry and Chinese yam

How it works

In TCM, the Kidney organ-meridian system is regarded as the foundation of good health. It’s not only considered responsible for the regulation of urinary frequency, but also believed to govern other types of fluids in the body, including saliva, tears and sweat.

Supporting a healthy Kidney organ-meridian system by using kidney tonic herbs is traditionally seen as beneficial for other body functions too, including maintaining healthy hearing and promoting bone strength.

Oriental Botanicals Kidnetone is based on a traditional Chinese herbal formula for the Kidney organ-meridian system called Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill, which has been used for around 900 years.

Rehmannia is the chief or ‘emperor’ ingredient in Kidnetone, where it’s supported by two ‘deputy’ herbs: horny goat weed and goji berry. All three of these herbs are traditionally used to regulate body fluids and relieve excessive urinary frequency in TCM, and also have additional benefits for the Kidney organ-meridian system, as detailed below.

Rehmannia

In TCM, rehmannia is traditionally used to support kidney health in multiple ways, including by helping to boost and invigorate Jing, a form of life force energy that’s stored in the kidneys. Jing is inherited from your parents in fixed quantities at the time of your conception, and your levels of it progressively decline as you get older, so maintaining healthy levels of Jing becomes increasingly important from mid-life onwards.

Rehmannia is also traditionally used in TCM as a liver tonic, and as a blood tonic that helps relieve sleeplessness and irregular menstrual cycles. It’s traditionally regarded as having nourishing effects on the kidneys’ Yin qualities in TCM, and when Kidney and Liver Yin are deficient, is used to relieve excessive night-time perspiration and to support healthy hearing.

Goji berries

Goji berry is traditionally used as a kidney tonic that regulates the body fluids and relieves fatigue and feelings of weakness in TCM, and like rehmannia, is traditionally used to strengthen and enrich Jing. These antioxidant-rich berries are also traditionally regarded as a longevity tonic in TCM.

In TCM, the kidney organ-meridian system is traditionally believed to keep the opposing forces of Yin and Yang in balance. Goji berries are traditionally used to nourish and replenish both Yin and Yang, keeping them in balance in the body.

If levels of Yin become deficient (or too low relative to Yang), goji berries are also traditionally used in TCM to relieve the resulting symptoms, which can include excessive sweating at night and mild dizziness.

Horny goat weed

In contrast, horny goat weed is traditionally regarded as having Yang-strengthening effects in TCM. As well as supporting healthy kidney function and helping to regulate body fluids, it’s traditionally used in TCM as a kidney tonic that enhances healthy libido, as well as to strengthen the bones and relieve mild aches and pains of the joints.

  • Forward your email e-script to [email protected]
  • Forward your SMS e-script to +61 483 913 912

# Please note, your script must be delivered to our Online Pharmacist in Perth WA before we can process and ship your order.

What if I don't have a prescription?

A valid prescription from an Australian registered prescriber is required before we can dispense any prescription medicine. If you do not currently hold a prescription, please consult your doctor or healthcare provider to discuss your treatment options.

How long does it take for my prescription to be processed?

At Fitchs Pharmacy, we aim to ship your medicines within 1 business day of receiving a valid prescription. However, there are some things that may affect timing:

  • For paper prescriptions, your script must be received at our Perth pharmacy before we can process your order. Depending on your location, postal delivery may take 2-5 business days.
  • Electronic prescriptions can be processed immediately, provided your token number has been entered correctly. In the case of an error, our pharmacist will contact you to check details.
  • Fridge items: Medications that require refrigeration are shipped early in the week to ensure they are not held over the weekend and to maintain optimal storage. For faster delivery, we recommend selecting Team Global Express instead of Australia Post.
  • Our pharmacist may need to contact you to discuss your medicines before your prescription can be shipped. Please ensure your contact details are up to date at checkout.

Once your order is reviewed and approved by our pharmacist, it will be shipped via Australia Post or Team Global Express. Fridge items will be packed in an esky with ice to maintain the required temperature. All prescription items are sent in discreet packaging.

Can I return prescription items for a refund?

Due to the nature of prescription items, we are unable to offer refunds for change of mind after they have been shipped. However, if you change your mind before your order is shipped, a refund can be issued, minus a 5% fee to cover payment processing costs.

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us at [email protected]
