A blend of herbs traditionally used to help relieve mild sinusitis symptoms in Chinese medicine.

Features and benefits

Oriental Botanicals SinuClear is based on the herbal formula Cang Er Zi San, which has been used to help relieve mild sinusitis symptoms for hundreds of years in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

In mild sinusitis, ingredients in Oriental Botanicals SinuClear help:

  • Relieve a stuffy nose, sinus headaches and mucous membrane inflammation, based on the traditional use of xanthium in TCM
  • Relieve a runny nose, based on the traditional use of magnolia in TCM
  • Ease sinus pain, based on the traditional use of white angelica in TCM, which is also traditionally regarded as being able to open up the nose and sinuses to clear congestion
  • Relieve sinus headache and clear the eyes and head, based on the traditional use of Asian wild mint in TCM
  • Stimulate the immune system and have anti-infective and anti-inflammatory properties, based on the traditional use of houttuynia in TCM

How it works

In TCM, a herbal formula called Cang Er Zi San has been in traditional use for hundreds of years to help manage mild sinusitis and relieve its symptoms. Consisting of xanthium fruit, magnolia flower, white angelica root and Asian wild mint leaves, Cang Er Zi San is traditionally taken in TCM to help the sinus passages feel clearer and relieve mild sinusitis symptoms such as mucous congestion and headache.

Oriental Botanicals SinuClear combines the herbs in Cang Er Zi San with houttuynia, which is traditionally regarded as having anti-infective properties in TCM.

Read on to discover more about each of the ingredients in SinuClear and their traditional uses in Chinese medicine.

Xanthium

Xanthium is traditionally used in TCM to help clear the congested sinuses and stuffed up nasal passages of mild sinusitis, as well as to relieve associated headaches. It’s also traditionally regarded as having the ability to soothe inflamed and irritated sinus mucous membranes in TCM.

Magnolia flower

In TCM, magnolia floweris traditionally regarded as having decongestant and anti-infective effects and is taken to help relieve the runny nose that sometimes occurs in mild sinusitis. Thanks to its decongestant properties, it may also be beneficial for runny nasal discharges and sneezing caused by hayfever, based on its traditional use in Chinese medicine.

White angelica

In TCM, white angelica is traditionally used to help open up the nose and sinuses, soothe mucous membrane inflammation and relieve mild sinusitis symptoms such as pain, pressure and headaches. Like magnolia flower, white angelica is traditionally used as a herbal decongestant in TCM, and is additionally regarded as having anti-infective properties.

Asian wild mint

Asian wild minthelps relieve headaches associated with mild sinusitis and clear the eyes and head, based on its traditional use in TCM.

Houttuynia

In Oriental Botanicals SinuClear, the herbs above are accompanied by houttuynia, which is traditionally regarded as having anti-infective and anti-inflammatory properties in TCM, as well as the ability to stimulate the immune system.

I have been taking Sinuclear after waking up with congested painful sinuses - I took 3 caps as soon as I got them, 3 caps again that night and 3 caps the following morning. I was out all the next day and forgot to take them with me but took another 3 before bed & woke up with a clearer head and I could feel it improving throughout the day. I will continue to take 2 tabs twice today to ensure my sinuses are completely clear. So pretty much back to normal with one-2 days!!

Prescription FAQ's

How to use my electronic prescription?

After selecting your medications, send us your e-script token in one of the three ways listed below.

# Please note that each medication you're prescribed will have its own unique token. Your e-Script token is the string of 14-20 letters and numbers underneath the QR code in your Electronic Prescription email or SMS.

How to use my paper prescription?

After purchasing your medications, post your paper prescription to:

Fitchs Pharmacy
731 Hay Street Mall
Perth WA 6000

# Please note, your script must be delivered to our Online Pharmacist in Perth WA before we can process and ship your order.

I selected "I need a script." What happens next?

After selecting this option, you will receive an SMS within 24 hours of placing your order, containing a link to book an appointment with a telehealth medical practitioner via the HotDoc platform. During the consultation, the practitioner will assess your needs and, if clinically appropriate, provide a prescription. Please note that the consultation incurs an additional fee, billed separately through HotDoc. Medicare rebates are available for telehealth consults. If the practitioner is unable to provide a prescription, a refund will be issued for the product, but not for the consultation.

How long does it take for my prescription to be processed?

At Fitchs Pharmacy, we aim to ship your medicines within 1 business day. However, there are some things that may delay your order:

  • For paper prescriptions, your script must be delivered to our Online Pharmacist in Perth WA before we can process and ship your order, depending on your location this may take 2-5 business days.
  • Electronic prescriptions can be processed immediately provided your token number has been entered correctly, in the case of an error our Pharmacist will contact you to check details.
  • Fridge Items: Medications that require refrigeration are shipped early in the week, depending on your location, to ensure they are not held over the weekend and ensure optimal storage. For faster delivery, we recommend selecting Team Global Express instead of Australia Post.
  • Our Pharmacist may need to get in contact with you to talk about your medicines before your prescription can be shipped, be sure to provide your best contact details in the checkout.

How will my prescription be delivered?

Once your order is reviewed and approved by our pharmacist, it will be shipped via Australia Post or Team Global Express. Fridge items will be packed in an esky with ice to maintain the necessary temperature, while other medications will be sent in discreet packaging.

Can I return my prescription items for a refund?

Due to the nature of prescription items, we are unable to offer refunds for change of mind after they have been shipped. However, if you change your mind before your order is shipped, a refund can be issued, minus a 5% fee to cover payment processing costs.
