About the Lollipop Saliva Test
Positive results indicate the presence of viral antigens, but a PCR test should be taken to determine infection status. Positive results do not rule out bacterial infection or co-infection with other viruses. The agent detected may not be the definite cause of disease.
Negative results should be treated as presumptive only, and do not rule out COVID-19 infection. Negative results should be considered in the context of recent exposures, medical history, and the presence of symptoms consistent with COVID-19, and should be confirmed with a PCR test.
STEP 1
Once opened, move the lollipop swab back and forth in the front and sides of your mouth for 90 seconds so that the swab has absorbed a substantial amount of saliva.
STEP 2
Remove the lollipop swab after 90 seconds when the sponge becomes soft and the indicator on the back turns BLUE.
STEP 3
Fit the lollipop swab into the test cassette and push it down
until it “Clicks” into position.
